Montreux, a romantic town on the east bank of Lake Geneva, has old buildings from different historical periods and flowers everywhere in addition to the sparkling lake and rolling Alps. The lakes, mountains and beautiful scenery are not enough to describe the beauty of Montreux.
Chillon Castle was built on a huge rock in the lake, where it was in the Middle Ages. Since the 12 th century, the castle has roughly gone through three periods: the Savoie period was owned by the Duke of Savoy; During the Bern period in the 16 th century, it occupied more than 200 years; After the 18 th century, the Vaud period became public property and continues to this day.

The ruins inside the castle are well preserved, with magnificent decorations and exquisite murals, telling the story of long-lasting luxury. In stark contrast, look at the somewhat eerie basement, which is the prison built in the 13 th century, and once held more than 200 prisoners, who spent the rest of their lives miserably here.
In the past, great writers were deeply involved in it. British poet Lord Byron wrote Shi Yong Castle in The Prisoner of Shi Yong Castle. His graffiti was still on the third stone pillar in the underground cell. I had seen Byron's graffiti last time at Tanah Lot, and the graffiti became a treasure even if it was a celebrity.
Many celebrities are attracted by Montreux's unique charm, and Queens is one of them. The Queens Studio Experience is located in the casino near the lake. To be exact, this is the band's recording studio that year. In the 17 years since 1978, all of Queen's records have been completed here.
Founded in 1971 and led by soul lead singer Freddie Mercury, Queen has created countless classics in the history of music, with hundreds of millions of records sold, which no one has surpassed so far. In 1991, Freddie Mercury died of illness and bassist John Deacon retired, but people who liked their music never stopped being crazy and infatuated.

The Queen's Museum is a very memorable place. Even if you are not an enthusiast, you can come here to listen to music, browse handwritten lyrics, records, photos, costumes, musical instruments, etc., and get a glimpse of the environment in which the most influential rock bands in the world create music. In the recording studio, you can also experience tuning and listen to many popular songs, including Freddie's last song recorded here before his death.
In 1996, 5 years after Freddie's death, a sculpture was built in the lakeside square in front of the museum. Holding a microphone, he is like standing on a star-studded stage, and his vivid expression is like being intoxicated with wonderful music. This reminds me of the London concert in 1985, white vest, light jeans, emotional singing and stage appeal, which drives tens of thousands of audiences to cheer and sing.

Last year's Oscar film "Bohemian Rhapsody" once again introduced Queen into people's attention. Its inspirational growth story and passionate melody make people's blood boil. In memory of this wonderful rock singer, fans from all over the world gather in Montreux on the first weekend of September every year since 2003. Nowadays, many people come to the sculpture every day to lay flowers and take photos, as if his gorgeous and infinitely penetrating voice is still lingering. Always young, always with tears in your eyes.
Vevey is only 7 kilometers away from Montreux, on the shore of the beautiful Lake Geneva, with a quiet and pleasant environment. Chaplin had a soft spot for this place and left the last 25 years of his life in Vevey until his death in 1977.
Compared with his brilliant film career, Chaplin's love life has always been the focus of people's attention. He read countless women all his life. At the age of 54, he married a good friend's daughter, Una, who was only 18 years old, and started his fourth marriage. In 1952, Chaplin encountered political problems and was refused entry to the United States. Then he came to live in Vevey, Switzerland with his family.
In memory of Chaplin, people transformed the house where he lived in his later years into a museum, which took 15 years to build and opened to the public in April 2016. "Chaplin's World" consists of the old house, soundstage and garden where he and his family lived.

The house has three floors, including bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, study rooms, etc. The spacious space retains its original appearance and shows Chaplin's life. There are many wax figures in the house, all of which are his close friends before his death, Einstein, Sophia Loren and Woody Allen.

There is also a studio in Chaplin's world, which restores scenes in movies in equal proportions, including the huge gear of Modern Times, the cabin of Gold Rush, the barber shop of The Great Dictator, etc. Walking into these scenes and imitating Chaplin's classic movements is like going back to the silent film era, which is very interesting. Michael Jackson regarded Chaplin as his idol, and his wax figure can be seen in the studio. Many of Michael Jackson's classic moves are imitated by Chaplin.
Nowadays, the era of silent movies has passed, and there are still many loyal fans who come here to remember the greatest comedian in the world. Moustache, black hat, pointed leather shoes, a crutch, and countless imitated movements have made eternal classics. From little people to politics, and then to his women, it is, play is like life, and life is like play.
